In our hometown, on this day, every family will make and eat zongzi. They will also buy some herbs such as Artemisiae Argyi, Champoux, and Angelica. It is said that this can make the air in the home more breathable.

In the morning, when the sky is still dark, the adults have already cooked hot zongzi. Making zongzi is a skilled activity. The materials used for zongzi include: glutinous rice, reed leaves, dates, chestnuts, and peanuts. Firstly, we wash the reed leaves and choose three or four leaves that are flat and suitable for zoning. Then we put the glutinous rice and other ingredients in them, and finally tie them with rope. After cooking for several hours in water, they can be eaten.

In the noon, adults will give children colorful incense bags. Children are very happy when they receive them. Being an incense bag with a big head is best. There are various shapes of incense bags: some are star-shaped, some are sunflower-shaped, and some are round... Because some children will be bitten by insects during the Dragon Boat Festival and become red and swollen, having an incense bag will prevent this.

In the evening, going out to play is also a good idea. Walking around in the fields and seeing the red sunset is also very pleasant. 中午，大人就会给小孩一个五颜六色的香囊，小孩们都非常欢喜，有一个大大的脑袋香囊是最好不过的。香囊有各种不同的形状：有的是星形，有的是太阳形，还有的是圆形的……因为有些端午节的时候孩子们身上都会被虫子咬的又红又肿，有了香囊就没事了。

晚上出去玩玩也是不错的。会去田野里走一走，看看红红的晚霞，呼吸一下新鲜空气。再看着那正在房前屋后忙碌的人们……这就是我们家乡的端午节！这就是我们家乡那有着浓郁民族气息的端午节。
