My hometown is a small town. Although it is not as bustling and lively as a city, it has its unique customs.

Every year, as the Spring Festival approaches, the people in my hometown prepare for the new year. Some people go to the market to buy decorations such as New Year paintings, couplets, and lanterns to decorate their homes in a festive manner. Some people visit their relatives to exchange New Year greetings and blessings. Others take their entire family to their maternal grandmother's house for a reunion dinner.

On New Year's Eve, every household pastes up festive couplets and New Year paintings. Everyone sits together and enjoys a lively reunion dinner. In addition, we also watch fireworks and lanterns, waiting for the sound of the New Year bell.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, every household eats a bowl of dumplings. Dumplings come in various flavors such as black sesame, peanut, and red bean. Not only are dumplings delicious, but they also have an appealing appearance that makes people drool.

During the Lantern Festival, everyone goes to admire lanterns, guess riddles, and eat sweet dumplings. The Lantern Festival is one of the liveliest festivals in our hometown.

After the Spring Festival, everyone tidies up and prepares to welcome the new year. Although the Spring Festival has passed, the beautiful memories and customs it left us are unforgettable.
