Everyone has unforgettable experiences, which are like colorful beads strung together in our memories. Today, I will share one of the most shining beads with you.

 

It was a sunny weekend when my mom took me to a rural area to fish. We brought fishing rods, fish bait, and set out with great enthusiasm.

 

Arriving at the fishpond, I eagerly took out my fishing rod, installed the fish bait, and cast the line. I sat on the chair, watching the fishing float intently, waiting for a fish to bite. But after ten minutes had passed, there was no movement at all. I became restless and started looking around. At that moment, a fish swam past in front of me, making me itch to grab it. Then my mother's words echoed in my ears: "Haste makes waste." I immediately pulled my hand back. After waiting for a while longer, there was still no movement. I became impatient and wanted to pack up and go home. Just then, the fishing float moved, giving me a surge of excitement. But when I lifted the rod, there was no fish on the hook. Then my dad came over and said to me: "Stick to your aim and don't move until you've got it."

 

After listening to my dad's words, I focused on fishing again. Waiting and waiting, finally, I saw the fishing float sinking down. I immediately lifted the rod. "Wow! A big fish!" I exclaimed with joy as I pulled out a fat and plump one. Upon closer inspection, it was a carp. Then I reminded myself of the poetry I had learned in the past: "If you want to catch that heady scent, you must brave severe cold." This time, my hard work had not gone to waste.

 

This event, although long past, is still very vivid in my memory. It taught me a valuable lesson: Success in any venture requires patience and perseverance.

到了鱼塘边，我迫不及待地拿出鱼竿，装上鱼饵，抛出鱼线。我坐在椅子上，目不转睛地盯着鱼漂，等待鱼儿上钩。可是十分钟过去了，一点动静都没有，我有点坐不住了，开始东张西望。就在这时，一条鱼从我眼前游过，我的心里痒痒的，手也有点痒了，想抓抓它。就在这时，妈妈的话在我耳边响起：“心急吃不了热豆腐。”我立刻把手伸了回来。又等了好一会儿，还是没有动静，我有点不耐烦了，想把鱼竿收起来回家。就在这时，鱼漂动了一下，我心里一阵激动，心想：“这回该轮到我表演了。”谁知一提竿，鱼儿却没上钩。这时爸爸走过来对我说：“看准了再提竿。”

 

听了爸爸的话我又专心地钓鱼。等啊等啊，终于看见鱼漂沉下去了，我立刻提起鱼竿。“哇！一条又肥又大的鱼。”看着自己的战利品，我兴奋地大叫起来。我仔细一看，这是条鲤鱼。这时我心里想起了曾经背过的诗句：不经一番彻骨寒，怎得扑鼻香？这真是辛苦没有白费啊！

 

这件事虽然过去很久了，但我仍然记忆犹新。它让我懂得了一个道理：做任何事都要有耐心和毅力才能成功！
