lie和lay的区别精讲

1. Lie "说谎；撒谎"（规则变化）(lied lied lying)

Don't lie to me.

别对我撒谎。

She is lying again. Don't believe her.

她又在撒谎。别相信她。

I don't know why he lied about his age.

我不知道他为什么谎报自己的年龄。

2. Lie "躺；平放；躺下；位于"（不规则变化）(lay lain lying)

Let sleeping dogs lie.

莫惹是非。

The dog is lying under the tree.

狗躺在树下。

He lies on the sofa quietly.

他静静地躺在沙发上。

Her notebook lay on her desk.

她的笔记本放在书桌上。

This photograph has lain here for two years.

3. Lay "放置；安放；铺放"“下蛋，产卵”（laid laid laying）

I laid my cell phone on the desk just now, but now I can't find it.
