1. owe……to欠债，欠（债）；欠（账）

6. owe……to与attribute……to作“把……归因(功)于……”解，是有区别和联系的，经常考，有一年全国六级考题就因为出题者没有弄清这个缘故，答案疑似应该有两个，这里不再展开说明。
在主动句中owe……to的主语可以是人，也可以是物（只用于主动语态句子），而attribute……to的主语则只能是人（语态没有限制）。另外，owe……to只用于主动句，大都与含褒义的词连用。例句：
Some of the most important concepts in physics owe their success to these mathematical systems.（摘自研考试题）
