一、escape的不及物动词用法：表示“逃脱”、“漏出”

作为不及物动词，escape可以单独使用，也可以根据表意的需求与各种介词连用，“escape from”是最常见的用法，意为“从...逃脱、从...漏出”。

You can’t escape from the reality whatever happens.

不管发生什么事情，你都无法逃离现实。

Get out from here! The gas is escaping.

赶快离开，煤气正在泄漏。

He escaped from prison this morning.

他今天早上从监狱里逃跑了。

As a child he would often escape into a dreamworld of his own.

小时候他常常躲进自己的梦幻世界中。

Officers mistook Stephen for an escaped prisoner.

警官误以为斯蒂芬是一名逃犯。（过去分词作定语）

二、escape的及物动词用法：表示“躲避”、“被遗忘”；避开，避免（不愉快或危险的事物）

作为及物动词，escape的用法比较简单，只需在后面直接加上宾语。值得特别注意的是，虽然escape做及物动词，但是不可以用于被动语态。这一点从它的词义上也可以看出来。

When I was a kid, I feared my father and usually escaped him.

我小的时候害怕我父亲，还经常躲他。

Her face was so familiar but her name escaped me.

她的面容如此熟悉，但我却不记得她的名字。

Her name escapes me (= I can't remember it) .

我记不起她的名字了。

It was an actor whose name escapes me for the moment

那个男演员的名字我一时想不起来了。

He narrowly escaped being killed.

他险些丧命。（后接动词时时doing形式）

There was no escaping the fact that he was overweight.

三、escape的名词用法：表示“逃走、漏出、逃走的手段、逃避现实（的方法、消遣）”

作为名词，escape的词义与它不及物动词的词义基本吻合，但可以拓展为一种手段，方式等。在高考范畴内，escape的用法一般不做名词词性使用的要求。

The man made his escape.

那个人逃跑了。

But for me television is an escape.

但是对我而言，看电视是一种逃避的方法。

The news of Tandy's escape had shaken them all

坦迪逃跑的消息让他们所有人都无比震惊。

No matter how tough the training is, we allow no escape.

四、作形容词，使逃避困难的;使规避问题的
