“no such+名词”结构用法精讲

在我们的脑海里such后接可数名词但是要加不定冠词这个概念已经根深蒂固啦，可是小编今天就是要告诉朋友们，such如果构成“no such+名词”结构是，不论其后面的名词是单数还是复数一律不加冠词（包括不定冠词和定冠词）；可译为“没有这样、没有那样、没有什么”请看：

In an ideal world, there would be no such thing as rubbish

在一个理想世界中，不会有垃圾之类的东西。

But, even in Hollywood, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

但即使是在好莱坞也没有免费的午餐。

There are no such things as a cert in horse racing

在赛马中，没有什么可以打包票。

He must have been hoping for a relaxed time. No such luck.

他一定是一直想放松一段时间，可就是没这个命。

The new president has so far evinced no such sense of direction.
