通常There be的非谓语形式有两种：There to be/ There being

1.作主语

There being a shop here is a great advantage.

这儿有个商店，真是方便极了。

There being a railway station in the town is a great advantage.

镇子上有个火车站，真是方便极了。

大家特别要注意当 there to be作主语时要用for来引导，例如：

For there to be some misunderstanding between two close friends is quite natural . 两个密友之间发生一些误会是很自然的。

(It's quite natural for there to be some misunderstanding between two close friends.)

For now there appears to be no sign of a let-up in Chinese desire to own a car.

目前看来，中国民众买车的愿望似乎还没有减弱的迹象。

For there to be so little cash in his wallet was strange.

很奇怪他的钱包里只有那么少的现金。也可以转化为：

It’s strange for there to be so little cash in his wallet .

很奇怪他的钱包里只有那么少的现金。

2.作宾语

（1）.作动词的宾语

A．there to be常可用作expect 、mean 、intend 、want 、prefer、 like 等动词的宾语，通常称之为复合宾语，其意义常表示对将来的一种意愿或希望，但是目前还没有存在的含义。如：

I don't mean there to be any unpleasantness.

我无心引起任何不愉快。

I don't recall there being many superheroes.

我怎么不记得那儿有什么超级英雄。

The example is incomplete, but you can expect there to be many moreopportunities for reuse.

这个示例并不完整，但您肯定会面临着多得多的重用机会。

Susan prefers there to be no discussion of her private affairs.

苏珊不愿意人讨论他的私事。

B．there being 常用在deny appreciate mind imagine admit 等接动名词的动词后作宾语，如：

We can imagine there being a lot of fuss about it.

我们可以想象到人们对此大惊小怪。

I don't mind there being any objection to our opinion.

我不介意有人反对我们的观点。

I can't imagine there being such a beautiful place in the world.

我没想到世上有这么一个漂亮的地方。

But even in that church, I don't remember there being a lot of talking about God.

但即使在教会中，我不记得曾谈论很多有关神的事。

She denied there being any misunderstanding between them.

她否认她们之间有任何误会。

（2）.作介词的宾语

there being可以许多介词的宾语；但是如果介词是for时，一般采用for there to be 形式，常见的句型是：It be +adj+for there to be

如：

I never dreamed of there being such a good hotel in this town.

我真没想到这个镇里还有这么好的宾馆。

As you strive to achieve your dreams, you can count on there being somesetbacks and disappointments.

当你去努力实现梦想时，你一定会遇到挫折和失败。

I laugh at the idea of there being any one who has anything to tell me on that subject.

There is now little hope of there being a settlement of the border dispute between the two countries.

Nowadays, you'd better not take with you too much cash for there to be too many thieves wandering about in the streets.

3.作状语

there being结构在句中作状语，多用来表示行为、方式、伴随、原因等情况。如：

There being no salt, we had to go to buy some.

由于没有盐了，我们只好去买一些。

There being nobody else at hand, I had to do it by myself.

由于附近没有人，我只得独自干了。

There being no bus, we had to walk home.

因为没有公共汽车，我们只好步行回家。

There being nothing else to do, we left.

由于没有其它事情可做，我们离开了。

There being no nobody in the room, we realized that there was no use crying.

屋里没人，我们意识到哭喊是没有用的。

There being nothing important, she didn't want to trouble you.

因为没有重要事，她不想打扰你。

There being no teacher in the classroom, the pupils began to talk freely.

由于教室里没有教师，学生们开始自由交谈。
