重要连词lest用法解析

1. 在由lest引导的从句中大部分为目的状语从句，需用虚拟语气，表示“以防，以免”等意思，其谓语动词多由should ＋动词原形构成，should也可省略。

He gripped his brother's arm lest he be trampled by the mob.
