too...to的意思是”太.而不能“.too后面接形容词或相当于形容词的短语,to后面接动词原形.如

She is too yong to go to school.

He was too busy to answer the phone.

引导目的状语从句时,表示“以便；为了”,从句中常使用can /could /may /might /will /would /should等情态动词或助动词；引导结果状语从句时,从句中一般不用can和may等词,在so that前可以用逗号,意思是“因此;所以”.如：

The little boy saved every coin so that he could buy his mother a present on Mother's day.

小男孩存了每一个硬币，以便在母亲节给母亲买礼物。

so＋形容词或副词＋that ...引导结果状语从句.意思是“如此……以致于……”.如：

When the football fans saw Beckham,they got so excited that they cried out.

意思相同,但用法不同.

such...that 和so...that都是“如此以至于的意思”,区别在于such后面接的是名词,或相当于名词的短语,so后面接的是形容词或相当于形容词的短语.如：

He was such a carelss man that he often left his bag on the bus.或

He was so careless that he often left his bag on the bus.
