English is easy to learn.

经常有人问，英语那么难，怎学啊? 其实英语不难，因为国际语言之所以选择英语而不是世界大多数人所说的汉语，是因为英语很容易学，言归正传：

1、首先，这句话可以译为：英语学起来很容易。

to learn 做状语,因为句中主系表结构已经完整了,即使没有to learn对句子结构也没有影响,所以应该是状语.

这个句子的特殊之处在于to learn是一个不定式主动形式表被动含义的说法,因为English实际上是“被学”的.

有些形容词（easy,hard,difficult,heavy,comfortable等）可以用在： 主语+ be adj.to do结构中.注意不是to be done哦；还要注意这个结构中的动词do必须是及物动词,因为句中有它的宾语.如果是不及物动词要在后面加介词,保证它可以加宾语，例如：

The work is easy to do.这件工作很容易做。

The box is heavy to carry.这盒子扛起来很重。

2、learn 与study的区别

1）、learn是一个英语单词，可以用作动词，可以翻译为学习、学会，等等。而study可以用作名词和动词，可以翻译为学习、研究，等等。

2）、learn第三人称单数：learns；过去分词：learnt或者learned；现在进行时：learning；过去式：learnt或者learned。

3）、study第三人称单数：studies；过去分词：studied；名词复数：studies；现在进行时：studying；过去式：studied。

4）、learn指“学习，学会”，侧重学习的成果，指从不知到知，从不会到会的学习，强调通过学习去获得知识和技能，它没有凭勤奋努力而获得知识的意味。learn亦可指向某人学习，从某处学习及学习一门技能等。

如 ：learn music, learn new words, learn to skate, learn from experience, learn from Lei Feng.

He's still learning how to dance.

他仍在学怎样跳舞。

You'd better learn a trade while you are young.

你最好趁年轻学一门手艺。

5）、study为“学习，研究”，强调侧重学习的过程，指深入系统地学习，带有努力，勤奋的意味。其学习对象往往是科学，艺术和需要深入探讨，研究的问题及学科，而不是单纯地获得技巧。

如：study medicine, study science, study a map, study engineering, study painting.
