一、 精读完形真题，长难句分析

A Heroic Driver

Larry works with Transport Drivers. Inc. One morning in 2009,Larry was　traveling along 165 north after delivering to one of his　customers. Suddenly, he saw a car with its bright lights on.　As he got closer, he found　another vehicle upside down on the road. One more look and he noticed　flames shooting out from under the　disabled vehicle. Larry pulled over, set the brake and　get hold of the fire extinguisher(灭火器).Two good bursts from the extinguisher and the fire was put out.

The man who had his bright lights on　came over and told Larry he had　made an emergency call. They　then heard a woman’s voice coming from the wrecked(毁坏的)vehicle.　Approaching the vehicle, they saw that a woman was trying to get out of the broken window. They told her to stay　still until the emergency personnel arrived,　but she thought the car was going to　explode . Larry told her that he had already put out the fire and she should not move　in case she injured her neck.

Once fire and emergency people arrived, Larry and the other man　backed off and let them go to work. Then, Larry asked the　police if he was needed or　free to go. They let him and the other man go.

One thing is　for certain —Larry went above and beyond the call of duty by getting so close to the burning vehicle! His　efforts most likely saved the woman’s life.

e.g. His business dealings are above board.

2. against the grain - contrary to someone's feelings, principles 格格不入， 违反意愿

e.g. His plan goes against the grain with her because she doesn't like cheating.

3. all along - all the time 自始至终 e.g. I knew about his little secret all along.

4. all ears - eager to listen洗耳恭听 e.g. I am all ears.

5. all thumbs – clumsy 笨手笨脚 e.g. He can't fix anything, he's all thumbs.

6. apple of one's eye - very dear, precious 掌上明珠，apple：瞳孔 e.g. Her son is the apple of her eye.

7. backseat driver - a passenger who tells you how to drive 指手画脚的人

e.g. His wife is a backseat driver always telling him how to drive.

8. bark at the moon - do a useless thing; waste time 徒劳无功

e.g. Telling him that he is wrong is like barking at the moon.

三、 书面表达高分技巧：

书面表达题，我们要注意的是：审题审题审题！！！要点要点要点！！！

审题要审什么呢：首先，审你是谁，你给谁写信，你写信的目的是什么。这就决定了你写信的开头的语气是什么，结尾处要写些什么。

其次，审要点。大家一定要在草稿纸上，把要点列出来用英文列行，用中文列也可以。

然后，根据你列出的要点，打草稿，时间大约是10到15分钟。在打草稿的时候一定要注意自己句子的主谓宾，是不是符合语法结构。以及句子之间的逻辑关系，使用恰当的连词或承上启下的短语。

最后，大家把草稿上的内容修改一下之后，认真的整齐的誊抄在答题卡上。

通过分析2011~2018年全国卷的高考真题，我们发现了以下规律：

1. 全部是书信形式，以给笔友写信居多，其次是写申请和给报社投稿，交际性很强。高考真题中的书面表达都是现实生活中极有可能会用到的，有很强的实用性和交际性，目的就是为了考查学生在现实生活中运用英语的能力。

2. 内容和学生息息相关，有关学习的内容居多，其次是文化。历年高考书面写作中，有关传统文化的内容出现频率较高，近两年更是热点，极有可能今年继续延续，所以，Nancy老师在接下来的几天中，带着大家积累一些有关传统文化的句子，希望在4天后的英语考试中，对大家有所帮助。

四、 书面表达：有关传统文化的句子积累。

1. 太极(Tai Chi)

Famous for its graceful and well-balanced movements, Tai Chi provides the mental relaxation and physical fitness that are so essential in our modern stressful lives.

太极拳以其优美和平衡的动作而闻名，它提供了精神放松和身体健康，这在我们现代紧张的生活中是如此重要。

2.中国书法（calligraphy）

Chinese calligraphy is a fine art of the excellent traditional cultures in China. Not only does it do good to health, but also it can cultivate morality and purify our souls.

中国书法是中国优秀传统文化的一门艺术。它不仅对健康有益，而且可以培养道德和净化我们的灵魂。

3. 学唱中国歌，学好中文

It should be a good idea to learn and sing Chinese songs, because by doing so you'll learn and remember Chinese words more easily.

学唱中文歌对你来说是一个好主意，因为这样做，你可以更容易的学习和记住一些中国字。

4. 中华经典文学朗诵 Chinese Classics Reciting

A Chinese Classics Reciting contest among the students will be held in the school lecture hall from 3 p.m to 5 p.m on 8th June. Everyone is welcome to participate in it.
