Moreover, the scenery along the river is amazing, with many well-known sightseeing spots. That’s why I think the trip along the Yangtze will be a better choice.

I’m so glad to hear from you. I’m writing to tell you something about my life and study in recent days. I’m very busy with my lessons now, for the Entrance Examination, which is very important to me, is coming. Every day, I have to spend most of my time in studying. As a result, I don’t have enough time to take exercise. What’s worse, I don’t communicate a lot with my parents and my friends.

By the way, I am now a volunteer for the 13th National Games, which will be held at the end of August in Tianjin. In order to be a qualified volunteer, I have to improve myself by reading some books about Tianjin so as to know more about it.

I miss you very much! Will you please pay a visit to Tianjin again so that we may meet again?

As for my favourite figure in Chinese history, it must be Wei Yuan, a great thinker in the late Qing Dynasty. He, in his book, Haiguo Tuzhi(Maps and Records of the World),introduced modern technologies and ideas to China. That opened our eyes to the world. In fact, he inspires me to major in English in college and to be a bridge between China and the world.

One Thing I’m Proud of

I still remember how I became a good table tennis player.

The first day I went to high school, I saw some of my classmates playing table tennis. Amazed at how skillful they were, I was determined to be just as good. Later on, I often watched them carefully to learn their techniques. Then I kept practicing until I became confident enough to challenge the good players. At the end of the term I became one of the best players in my class.

I am really proud of this experience, because it helps me realize that we all can fulfill our potential and achieve our goals through hard work. It also helps me better understand the proverb "Practice makes perfect.”
